JOB DESCRIPTION
- Coordinate and supervise the technical implementation of solar power projects – from site survey, design, equipment selection, technical drawings, and quantity take-off to construction – ensuring performance, quality, and investment efficiency.
- Assign tasks, supervise progress, and provide technical guidance to design and implementation engineers; train and mentor team members.
- Work directly with partners and clients to consult, present, and defend design proposals, technical solutions, and relevant documentation.
- Collaborate with relevant departments (Tendering, Procurement, Construction, etc.) to ensure consistency in design, construction, and as-built documentation.
- Monitor the progress of design work, supervise quality, and control technical costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support the Tendering Department with technical inputs, including the preparation and explanation of design concepts in bids and technical documentation.
- Participate in technical meetings with partners, contractors, and clients; coordinate to resolve issues arising during implementation.
- Propose and oversee the implementation of internal design standards, technical procedures, and workflows to ensure quality, safety, and cost optimization.
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies and technical standards; recommend advanced design solutions aligned with renewable energy industry trends.
- Advise the Head of Technical Department on technical strategy, team capacity development, and process improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or the Board of Directors.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
– Must-Have Qualifications
– Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related technical fields.
– Professional Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position.
- Solid knowledge of solar power systems: Off-grid, Hybrid, On-grid, BESS.
- Strong understanding of PV modules (structure, classification, operation).
- Strong understanding of PV inverters (types, operation).
- Good knowledge of technical standards and regulations in the electrical/solar industry.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, PVSyst for design and technical analysis.
- Solid knowledge of testing devices and measurement methods for system components.
- Experience in using and managing monitoring systems from major manufacturers (Huawei, Sungrow, SMA, etc.).
- Strong team management, training, and coaching skills.
- Excellent communication, technical negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Willing to travel and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good English communication skills, with the ability to read and understand technical documents
– Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Ability to design, calculate, and prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) for solar projects ≥ 1MWp.
- Valid driver’s license.
